Department of Economics and Safety in Transport
The department professionally guarantees the preparation of students of the field of study Security Sciences in the study program Management of Security Systems in I. and II. degree of university studies in full-time and part-time form.
The main goal of teaching is to direct students to the economic field using knowledge from profiling subjects. Emphasis is placed on economic risks, which mainly affect the activities of natural and legal persons. As part of the course, students will gain deeper knowledge of crisis economics, public and corporate finance, financial markets, logistics activities, randomness and tools that can be used to guide and eliminate risks.
Profiling subjects within the Department of Economic Security include:
- Basics of economics and economics,
- Protection of economic interests,
- Safety of transport and transport infrastructure,
- Economic tools for the protection of persons and property - optional subject,
- Financial management,
- Logistics,
- Planning and forecasting,
The department cooperates in scientific and professional activities with universities and workplaces in the Slovak Republic and abroad. The result is publications in domestic and foreign magazines, publication of monographs, university textbooks and representation of the school at conferences and seminars
